Throughout my long teaching career, particularly as a high-profile Head of a Modern Languages Department, I have been fanatical about grammatical and spelling accuracy. I am an avid reader (1 book a week on average, alternating between French and English) of contemporary fiction, autobiographies, political memoirs and history and keep up with French current affairs both on the net and by listening to French radio. This, combined with my frequent visits to my home country, has made me become very aware of linguistic trends and gives me the edge when it comes to choosing the appropriate register/terminology when translating a text. I ALWAYS meet deadlines, in fact usually complete all projects with ample time to spare.
